PURPOSE: To restrict the growth of dendrite and to improve the charging and discharging efficiency and the cycle lifetime by forming narrow holes in the surface of a clad material, which is formed of two kinds of metals, and furthermore, coating the surface of the clad material with an insulating body layer so as to form a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode is made of a clad material 104, which is formed of a metal 101 easy to be formed into the alloy with lithium and a metal 100 hard to be formed into the alloy with lithium. Furthermore, the surface of the metal 101, which contacts with the electrolyte, is formed with column-shape narrow holes 102, and the surface thereof is coated with an insulating body layer 103 so as to restrict the growth of dendrite. The metal 101, which is formed into the alloy with the deposited lithium so as to restrict the growth of dendrite at the time of charging, is desirably selected among the 2A, 3A, 4A and 2B group element of the periodic table of element, and Al or the ally of Al and the 2A group element is most desirable. The metal 100, which prevents the lowering of the collecting function due to the expansion and contraction at the time of charging and discharging, is selected among the 1B, 4B, 5B and 8B group element of the periodic table of the element, and Cu, Ni or Fe is preferable. |
