<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid crystal display employing a coplanar TFT, causing no deterioration of the contrast ratio, as a switching element. CONSTITUTION: Since the angleθdefined by the side face of an active layer 2 on the channel width side and a translucent insulating substrate 1 is set at 45 deg. or less, a high quality gate insulation film 3 can be formed and the gate leak current, causing deterioration of the contrast ratio, can be suppressed.</p> |
