PURPOSE: To prevent an inputted character from being omitted when inputting it to any arbitrary slip, etc., on an input picture by dynamically displaying a mark or the number of characters at a terminal position allowing inputting near an input area on the picture. CONSTITUTION: The input area is provided on the screen of a display device 6, the mark is displayed near the terminal to input characters or the like in this input area, and an input enable range is displayed in the relevant column (field) of the slip, etc., to perform inputting so as to be easily recognized. In this case, the mark is displayed at the terminal position of the input enable range in the input area individually corresponding to the slip or name column to perform inputting. Besides, the number of characters to be inputted is displayed near the input area in place of the mark or together with it, and the maximum number of characters to be inputted in the relevant column (field) of the slip, etc., to perform inputting so as to be easily recognized.
