<p>PURPOSE: To variably set the pulse width of a strobe signal real time by providing a comparator for comparing an ON dot counter with the value of a printing rate register, and a selector for selecting a strobe width set register according to the signal from the comparator. CONSTITUTION: A comparator 8 compares the output of an ON dot counter 5 with the value of a printing rate register 7, and judges whether the value of the counter 5 is larger than the value of the register 7 or not. A selector 11 selects the value of an STB set register 9 or an STB register 10 according to the signal from the comparator 8. A strobe generator 12 generates a strobe pulse of one line to be applied to an LED head in response to the strobe width output from the selector 11. Thus, since the pulse width to be applied to the head can be altered at each one line, the widths of the main and sub scanning lines can be made constant at a glance.</p> |
