<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a failure diagnosis by making a selected circuit to a desired output port include an active/connected state machine for the connection from one input port to a desired output port. SOLUTION: A crossbar chip 10 has N<2> cross points 12 between input rows 14 and output columns 16, and a state machine is arranged at each point 12. Each state machine has prescribed identification that represents one output port and compares identification with the address header of each data packet. At the time of coincidence, the state machine is set to active/connected, and at the time of uncoincidence, it is set to inactive/disconnected. Then, a selected circuit that goes through a structure to a desired output port depends on active/ connected state machines from one input port to the desired output port. Also, the switching structure is provided with a cross point array in which an input port includes plural rows 14 and an output port includes plural columns 16, and a selection circuit is an input row and an output column which goes through an active/connected state machine that is defined by a desired output port.</p> |
