A LAN control part 21 periodically reports the channel use condition of the station itself to the other master station by a report packet and receives the report packet periodically sent from the other master station to store the channel use condition of the other station reported by the report packet in the table 22. When it is necessary to assign a channel to a subordinate slave station 17, the LAN control part 21 refers to the table 22 to select a channel, which is not used by any master station, and assigns this channel to the slave station to perform the communication.
