PURPOSE: To maintain a specific printing quality by varying a gap between a forming member and a mag roll, and maintaining a specified height of a spike of a magnetic blush formed in a developing position, corresponding to bulk density of developer. CONSTITUTION: In this developing device, the developer 5 consisting of magnetic carrier and toner is agitated by agitation paddles 3a and 3b, the developer 5 is supplied to the mag roll 1 for transporting to a photoreceptor drum 9, the developer 5 is attract-transported by the mag roll 1, the regulating member (doctor blade 2) for controlling the developer 5 at the specified amount is provided in a midway for transporting to the photoreceptor drum 9, the height of the spike of the magnetic blush of the developer 5 is controlled, and the magnetic blush control, for developing an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor drum 9 is performed by the magnetic blush of the controlled developer 5, the doctor blade 2 is composed in a constitution capable of turning around the shaft and consecutively varying the gap in-between the mag roll 1 corresponding to the change of the bulk density of the developer 5 transported from the paddles 3. |
