PURPOSE: To easily and efficiently remove endotoxin at low cost, eliminate the limitation for the object to be treated, and allow the application to a final product by subjecting the object to be treated to a high pressure steam heating treatment in an aqueous solution containing a nonionic surfactant. CONSTITUTION: An object to be treated is subjected to a high pressure steam heating treatment in an aqueous solution containing a nonionic surfactant. The adding quantity of the nonionic surfactant is set to 0.005% or more, and as sterilizing conditions for the high pressure steam heating, the heating temperature is set to 70-130 deg.C, and the heating time to 5-60 minutes. Thus, endotoxin can be efficiently removed, and the physiological active heating property of endotoxin can be also reduced. |
