PURPOSE: To provide a laser beam machine which has a small fluctuation of a beam spot diameter in a machining point even if the machining head is moved for a long distance and which has a simple structure with suitability to use in an on-line process. CONSTITUTION: The laser beam machine is provided with a laser generator 1, first moving means 11 movable back and forth in the direction of a laser beam LB outputted from the generator 1, second moving means 25 which is provided in the first moving means 11 and which is movable back and forth vertically to the moving direction of the first moving means 11, and machining head 31 which is provided in the second moving means 25 and which changes the direction of the laser beam LB so as to converge it on a work W. In addition, an intermediate transmission optical system 21, which changes the optical axis direction of the laser beam LB to the moving direction of the second moving means as well as suppressing the divergence of the laser beam LB, is situated on the beam incident side of the optical path of the machining head 31 and is provided in the first moving means 11. |
