PURPOSE: To provide an optical disk having excellent record sensitivity, practical deletion property, to be used in a base line speed area, and having properties excellent for recording information on animation, picture, character, etc. CONSTITUTION: A recording thin film consists mainly of three elements, a silver(Ag), an antimony(Sb), and a tellurium(Te). When the composition consisting mainly of the three elements is expressed by a general expression Agx Sby Tez and when a range of (z) is 20<=z<=38, ranges of (x) and (y) are respectively 5<=x<=50, 32<=y<=60. When the range of (z) is 38<=z<=55, the ranges of (x) and (y) are respectively 5<=x<=25, 42<=y<=60, and x+y+z=100. |
