PURPOSE: To recognize the shape based on input data even if input data is rotated and positionally deviated by comparing featured input information and featured storage information and recognizing most approximate storage information. CONSTITUTION: A corresponding neuron group 13 is composed of the vertical arranging neuron elements corresponding to the neuron elements of an input side feature layer 15 and the horizontal arranging neuron elements corresponding to the neuron elements of a storage side feature layer 18. By the actions of the neuron elements of an input side constraint neuron layer 16 and the neuron elements of a storage side constraint neuron layer 19, plural of horizontal and vertical arranging neuron elements do not respond. As a result, an input side feature is made to correspond to a storage side feature. Because the input side feature depending on the absolute location on X-Y space is substituted by the storage side shape feature noticing a relative positional relation by the mutual action of the neuron elements of the corresponding neuron group 13, a shape can be recognized, regardless of a rotation and a positional deviation. |
