PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet recording sheet which has excellent ink acceptance, water resistance, clarity of recording and durability of an ink accepting layer, and excellent sheet supply and discharge properties when the sheet is continuously printed by a printer. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet recording sheet comprises an ink accepting layer made of a composition containing cationic modified polyvinyl alcohol and cationic fluorine surfactant as main ingredients at least on one side surface of a plastic film base material, wherein the weight ratio of the alcohol to the surfactant in the layer is in a range indicated by a formula of 1/99<=B/A<=50/50, where A is wt.% of the alcohol, and B is wt.% of the surfactant. |
