PURPOSE: To extend an area supported by a base station by sending a 2nd incoming notice including at least a telephone number of a caller terminal and an ID code of the called portable telephone set when no reply comes from the portable telephone set. CONSTITUTION: A base station 10-1 gives up communication with a telephone set 20-2 when no acknowledge of channel link is returned from the portable telephone set 20-2 even with the trial of channel link request for three times. Then the 2nd incoming notice is sent to the telephone set 20-2 and no reply is informed to a telephone terminal 4 via a public network. Since the 2nd incoming call notice is sent with a higher output level than that of a usual channel link request, even the telephone set 20-2 resident at the outside of a radio zone. The telephone set 20-2 receiving the 2nd incoming call notice including the telephone number of the caller telephone set and the ID code of the called portable telephone set confirms whether or not the the ID is coincident with its own ID code. Thus, the caller information is sent to the telephone set 20-2 resident at the outside of the radio zone.
