PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition, excellent in impact resistance and useful as an engineering plastic by blending a polyphenylene ethereal resin with an alkenyl aromatic resin, an unsaturated rubber-like elastic body and a saturated rubber-like elastic body. CONSTITUTION: This resin composition comprises (A) a polyphenylene ethereal resin which is a (co)polymer comprising a unit of formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, an aryl, etc.) or units of formulas I and II (R3 to R6 are each R1 , and R3 and R5 are not simultaneously H), (B) an alkenyl aromatic resin, (C) an unsaturated rubber-like elastic body, obtained by carrying out the graft copolymerization of an alkenyl aromatic monomer (Mo ) onto a conjugated diene-based rubber and having <=3.2μm volume-average particle diameter (dv ) and (D) a copolymer prepared by carrying out the graft copolymerization of the monomer (Mo ) onto an ethylene-α-olefin-based copolymer or an A-B-A type block copolymer, containing both terminal blocks of a styrenic resin and having >=30000 number-average molecular weight of the central rubber component block. The weight ratio of the components (C)/(D) is (5/95) to (80/20).
