PURPOSE: To eliminate poor penetration caused by deflection of a welding position and to produce a welded tube with a sound welded part. CONSTITUTION: An arm 25 is rotatably attached to a tracking shaft 23 which is arranged parallelly to a rotatable supporting shaft 21 arranged vertically on the surface of a material 1 to be welded. Under the arm 25, a guide roller is provided which is inserted into the abutting space of the welding material 1, and a welding nozzle 28 is attached to the tip end of the arm 25. The welding nozzle 28 is always positioned on the line connecting the tracking shaft 23 and the guide roller 26. In accordance with the deflection of the welding position 10, the arm 25 is rocked through the guide roller 26, directing the center axis of the welding nozzle 28 to the welding position 10. |
