PURPOSE: To obtain a blocking preventer for fertilizer having excellent effect of preventing blocking of fertilizer and improving working efficiency in scattering of the fertilizer by blending a highly water-absorbing resin with an inorganic material. CONSTITUTION: The objective blocking preventer for fertilizer is obtained by blending a highly water-absorbing resin with an inorganic material preferably at a weight ratio of (the highly water-absorbing resin/the inorganic material) in a range of (100/1)-(1/10). As the highly water-absorbing resin, a crosslinked acrylate polymer, a saponified acrylate-vinyl acetate copolymer or a crosslinked starch-acrylate graft copolymer is preferable and 50-600μm average granular diameter is preferable. As the inorganic material, calcium carbonate or zeolite having >=50μm average granular diameter, etc., is preferable. Resultant blocking preventer is especially effective for prevention of blocking of an organic fertilizer such as leaf mold and a blending amount is suitably 0.1-15wt.%.
