<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently perform the cart acceptance control to improve the multiplexing efficiency by calculating the cell transport factor of a buffer on the safety side based on the cell transport number expected value calculated in accordance with a prescribed process. CONSTITUTION: The envelope operation in the least upper bound calculation process selects a maximum function value of each survivor function, and each least upper bound is convolved based on the large deviation theory in the cell loss number expected value calculation process, and evaluation is performed on the safety side. A call acceptance controller 30 is provided with a cell loss probability calculation part 31 and a call acceptance discrimination part 32 to calculate the cell loss probability of a buffer 20. The call acceptance discrimination part 32 compares the calculated value of the cell loss probability calculated by the cell loss probability calculation part 31 and a cell loss probability prescribed value as a preliminarily prescribed value with each other. It is discriminated whether a call acceptance request is permitted or not based on the comparison result. Then, evaluation of survivor functions is quickly and accurately calculated, and a random variableξcan be handled as a lattice variable because-being a discrete variable taking only integer values, and the more accurate result is obtained.</p> |
