PURPOSE: To provide a connector and cable for a connecting method satisfying each condition which is suitable for mutual connection of electric equipments by completing the connection only by performing a connection based on the insertion of a central conductor connecting element to a cable hole and the braid nipping of an outside conductor connecting element. CONSTITUTION: A shield case 1 is installed to the outer part of a resin body 2. The body 2 has a cable hole in the inner part, and a cable stopper 3 is supported by a rotating shaft 4 on the rear end side of the upper surface. A cable 6 is inserted to the cable hole of the body 2, in which a central conductor connecting element 5 makes contact with the central conductor, and a braid 6a makes contact with the outer circumferential surface of the cable stopper 3 which firmly bites the cable coating. The element 5 has small projections protruded sideways on both end parts, and is laid in the state bitten into the body 2 by these projections. When the shield case 1 is pushed from the left side to the body 2 laid in this state, the top end of a cut-up part 1-a on the upper surface center of the case 1 is engagingly locked by a dent 3-a on the upper surface of the stopper 3.
