<p>PURPOSE: To provide a rotation angle detecting device for an internal combustion engine capable of simplifying structure and reducing a cost and weight by a method wherein a vane serves as a rotor is directly positioned and mounted on the cam shaft of an internal combustion engine and a connector part and the mounting part of an internal combustion engine are integrally molded in the casing of a sensor. CONSTITUTION: A vane 10 being a rotor is directly mounted on a cam shaft 9, a pin- form protrusion 13 formed on the mounting surface of a vane 10 is fitted in a knock hole 14 formed in the cam shaft 9, and fixed on the cam shaft 9 by means of a screw 15 after positioning. A sensor 20 has a casing 25 made of synthetic resin in which a first yoke 21 having a magnet 23 and a second yoke 22 having a magnetic flux detecting element 24 are securely contained. Further, a connector part 26 and a mounting part 35 for an internal combustion engine 4 are molded integrally with the casing 25. Further, a conductor 28 is insert-molded in the casing 25 and a wiring for the magnetic flux detecting element 24 and the terminal part 27 of a connector part are formed by using the conductor 28. Meanwhile, a mounting hole 37 for mounting a sensor on the internal combustion engine by means of a screw 36 is formed in a mounting part 35.</p> |
