PURPOSE: To reduce pressure loss, and to improve stack performance by increasing the height of a cathode gas flow passage made of the corrugate material, which is arranged between a cathode mask plate and a center plate. CONSTITUTION: An anode mask plate 20 and a cathode mask plate 21 are bonded so as to pinch a center plate 14 at the peripheral part thereof, and a central part is formed with an opening for electrode, and an anode electrode 18 and a cathode electrode 19 are respectively provided. A collecting plate 17, which is provided with multiple small holes, collects the generated electricity, and supports both the electrodes 18, 19. A separator is provided with a vertical through manifold 9 so as to form a parallel flow inside manifold type separator. A corrugate material 16 is provided between both the mask plates 20, 21 and the center plate 14 so as to guide the flow of the process gas. At this stage, a collecting plate 17 is not arranged in the cathode mask plate 21 provided near the inlet opening 9a for cathode gas so as to widen the cross section of the cathode gas flow passage by the thickness thereof. |
