发明名称 JOINING METHOD FOR SEPARATOR OF FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE: To reduce manufacturing cost, and to improve the lifetime of a battery by welding a mask plate and a center plate, of which surface opposite to the electrolyte plate is processed for corrosion resistance, at the overlapped end thereof for bonding. CONSTITUTION: Both surfaces of a center plate 6 are pinched by an anode mask plate 7 and a cathode mask plate 8 through an appropriate corrugate material, and the overlapped parts 10 of the peripheral edge are sealed by welding so as to form a separator. Since alumina corrosion resistant processing is performed to the surface of the anode mask plate 7 and the cathode mask plate 8 opposite to the electrolyte plate so as to form the non-conductive surface, resistance seam welding is hard to be applied thereto. The overlapped parts 10 are into closely contact for fixation by a welding jig 24, and the end surface 20 of the overlapped parts 10 are bonded by tungstenate gas (TIG) welding, laser welding, electron beam welding or the like. The overlapped parts 10 are adhered for fixation in the condition that the end surface 20 is projected at about 1m from the tip of the welding jig 24, and for example, a TIG torch is made to come close to the center of the end surface 20 for welding.
