PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separating device for simply and reliably separating objects of generally flat dimension with low energy consumption and silent movement. SOLUTION: This separating device separates a mixture of objects of flat dimension and objects of spatial dimension, having a conveying carrier 1. The separating device has a feeding device for feeding a series of streams of objects to be separated to a conveying device substantially in one layer. The conveying carrier 1 is formed penetrably by air and a surface tangent to the upper side of the conveying carrier (1) defines a line of intersection with a plane standing rectangularly to the conveying direction and the line forms an angle with the horizontal plane. Casings 7 and 8 connected to a source of under-pressure for sucking air through the conveying carrier are disposed below the conveying carrier 1 in an area following feeding areas 5 and 8 in the conveying direction.
