PURPOSE: To provide a flash emission control device which is never broken by operating a MOS control type thyristor element under a control voltage condition in which the MOS control type thyristor element can be surely ON/ OFF controlled. CONSTITUTION: In a flash emission control device in which a MOS control type thyristor element MCT is inserted into a current path formed of a main capacitor MC and a discharge tube XE, and the start and stop of emission can be controlled, a high voltage to be charged in the main capacitor and a control voltage for controlling the MCT are outputted by a power source circuit 2, and the control voltage is compared with a prescribed voltage by a detecting circuit 4. The emission permission or emission prohibition of the discharge tube XE is judged by a CPU 1, and the ON/OFF of the MCT is controlled by a MCT driver 3. |
