Feeding device for supplying feed to a feeding trough, comprising a supply pipe which, at a first end, is connected to a feed reservoir and, at a second end, is located above the feeding trough, which feeding device is also provided with a displaceable element, by means of which, in operation, the supply of feed to the feeding trough can be activated by an animal. An electric and/or pneumatic switch can be actuated with the aid of the displaceable element, by means of which switch an electric and/or pneumatic valve between the feed reservoir and the supply pipe can be switched from a closed position into an open position.
