A series of wooden bars (1,2) form the side members of a rectangular frame, with reinforcing wedges associated with their joints at the corners of the rectangle. The corner joints are formed by interengaging mortises and tenons on respective ends of each wooden bar. The wooden bars include a lip (4) on the front surface of their outer edge, with a semi-circular cross-section. The internal corners (5) of the lip at each corner location of the frame are rounded in configuration.
