PURPOSE: To control highly accurate zooming position in real time by controlling a zooming position based on a control signal generated based on outputs from right and left zooming position detectors and a picture size comparator. CONSTITUTION: The current zooming positions of right and left zoom lenses 4, 3 fitted to right and left television cameras 2, 1 are respectively detected by right and left zooming position detectors 8, 7 and supplied to right and left zoom lens servo controllers 6, 5 and a zooming position control signal generating circuit 9. Image pickup output signals from the cameras 2, 1 are respectively stored in right and left picture memories 11, 10. Then signals read out of the memories 11, 10 are supplied to a picture size comparator 12 and a signal expressing a size difference between picked-up pictures is supplied to the circuit 9. The circuit 9 generates a control signal proportional to the size difference between the right and left pictures and supplies the control signal to the servo controllers 6, 5. Consequently the images of the subject picked up by the cameras 2, 1 can be set up to the same size. |
