<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an image with excellent contrast by driving each micro mirror so as to reflect a lighting light selectively in an aperture or a lighting light aperture. CONSTITUTION: An undesired light reflected in a micro mirror whose angle is controlled in an OFF state by a DMD 15 based on a command from a control section 2 returns to a lighting light aperture 19 via a 1st lens group 14. Thus a nonmagnification image of the aperture 19 is formed on itself. Then the undesired light passing through the lighting light aperture 19 returns to a light source 11 via a mirror 13 and an elliptic mirror 12. On the other hand, a light reflected in a micro mirror whose angle is controlled in an ON state by the DMD 15 based on the command from the control section 2 reaches an aperture 16 via the 1st lens group 14. The nonmagnification image of the aperture 19 is formed on the aperture 16. The light passing through the aperture 16 is projected on a screen 18 via a 2nd lens group 17.</p> |
