PURPOSE: To prevent the inside of a case from being contaminated by outside air and dust from entering the case, to stabilize performance and to improve reliability. CONSTITUTION: As for this polygon scanner; a polygon mirror 16 and a motor 14 rotating the mirror 16 are housed in a sealing case 13, a hole for the adjustment driving of the polygon mirror is formed as a blind hole 32 made of flexible elastic material. The manual rotation (adjustment driving) of the mirror 16 is performed by inserting a presser bar in the hole 32 so as to press the base of the hole 32, deforming a cap 31 constituting the hole 32 and bringing it into contact with a rotor 17, and pushing the rotor 17 by the presser bar through the cap 31 in a rotating direction. Therefore, the adjustment driving of the mirror 16 is performed without impairing the sealing ability of the case 13. |
