The transparent front (4) is made from a long length of plastic roll. It is held in compression against a plane surface (5) which is put in tension rather than the display (2). In the event of excessive force, the front may buckle (9). The front may slide into the case or a curved central section may evolve into flat sections on both sides which are held in compression against flat walls. Alternatively, the case may comprise a series of flat folds which are hinged flexibly to allow the case and front to come together.
