PURPOSE: To simplify circuit constitution compared to a conventional one and to improve signal reproduction precision in an optical pulse reception circuit receiving an optical pulse, photoelectrically converting it and outputting it. CONSTITUTION: A reference signal generation circuit C2 generating a reference signal for voltage level comparison for reproducing an input signal obtained by photoelectrically converting the optical pulse into the signal of a square wave is provided. The reference signal generation circuit C2 discriminates an input period and a non-signal period based on the voltage level of the input signal and holds the voltage level of the input signal as a reference signal. A peak holding circuit C21 clamping the prescribed voltage level in the non- signal period and outputting it as the reference signal is provided. |
