PURPOSE: To effectively use a normal paper by controlling an image forming means and a sheet discharging means and copying on both sides of the normal paper in the case a presentation mode and a double-sided mode are set. CONSTITUTION: When an OHP presentation mode is set and also a print key is depressed after a double-sided document is set in an automatic document feeder 2, first, the rear side of the document is fed by a control part to an image forming position J. A copying sheet feeding part and a copying operation part are controlled, and then, an interleaf is taken in, the document image is copied on the interleaf, and then, the interleaf is discharged to a non-sort bin TN. An OHP sheet is taken in from a manual feeding tray 55, the document image is copied on the OHP sheet, then, the sheet is discharged to the non-sort bin TN. When the double-sided mode is set, the normal paper is taken in from decks 53A to 53C, or a deck 54, the document image is copied on the normal paper, then, the paper is stored in an intermediate tray 67. The document is turned over and fed again, then, the processing is repeated. And the normal paper with both sides copied is discharged to either of sort bins T1 to Tm.
