<p>PURPOSE: To improve the recognition rate by correcting the feature information of the input character of an operator based on the whole characteristic of the input character of the operator. CONSTITUTION: The operator inputs a character decided in advance. A deformation information acquiring part 200 acquires deformation information proper to the operator by comparing and calculating the feature information of an inputted character with that of a reference character, and stores it in a deformation information storage part 201. When ordinary character recognition is performed, a coordinate transformation part 204 transforms the coordinate data of the feature information of a handwritten character inputted via a character input part 202 and a character pattern storage part 203 according to information stored in the deformation information storage part 201. A character recognizing part 205 performs the character recognition by using the coordinate data of a transformed character and a recognition dictionary part 206, and outputs a result from a result output part 207.</p> |
