PURPOSE: To facilitate connection and enhance operability by enlarging a turning range of an actuator so as to facilitate insertion of a flat flexible cable into a spring contact. CONSTITUTION: A second side face of opposite side faces 8a, 8b of an insulating housing 1 is held by an opposite side plate 27. An actuator 3 is turned in a direction indicated by an arrow 31 to expose the parallel surface of a spring contact 5 of a conductive terminal 2, and then, a flat flexible cable 30 is inserted into the parallel portion of the spring contact 5. Subsequently, the actuator 3 is turned in a direction indicated by an arrow 32 to become parallel to the parallel surface of the spring contact 5, so that a pressing surface 22 of a lower plate 21a of a main body 21 presses the cable 30 toward the contact 5, thereby achieving electric connection. Thereafter, the actuator 3 is slid in a direction 33 parallel to the parallel surface of the contact 5, so that an upward flat surface 29a of a projecting piece 29 disposed at the edge of the opposite side plate 27 of the actuator 3 is disposed opposite to and locked in a downward flat surface 16 of a hood 12 housed inside a first side face 9 on the housing 1 side. |
