PURPOSE: To improve the quality of a radiation picture. CONSTITUTION: The optical image of visible light transmitted through a subject M from an X-ray tube 1 and converted on a fluorescent panel 21 is picked up by plural image pickup systems consisting of plural lenses 24 and a CCD element 26 through a mirror 22 and a lead glass 23 after it is divided to plural areas. The image read in every area is synthesized to reconstitute one image and then is read. Thus, the image for diagnosing a human body having large area is obtained with high quality satisfying graininess and sharpness.
