PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular plug cable assembly for connecting a twist pair cable capable of reducing crosstalk and transmitting data at a high speed, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A modular plug cable assembly is provided with a wire holder 10 which can be inserted into a wire holder receiving cavity 48. The wire holder 10 is provided with an extension 35 which can be positioned under a contact 18 inside the wire holder cavity 48. The extension 35 positions, under the contact 18, a linearly formed end 6 of a twist wire 4 extending along the extension 35.
