PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesion of a photographic element to a support. SOLUTION: A polyester photographic film support where an under coat layer containing a mixture of gelatin and a polymer is applied to the surface thereof, wherein the ratio of gelatin to polyer is less than 97:3 or less, the combination expression of the weight percentage of gelatin and the quantity of application in the mixture: C+1.32×Z>=0.825 (wherein C is the quantity (g/m<2> ) of application, and Z is the weight percentage of gelatin is satisfied, and the polymer includes (a) 1-60wt% repeat unit derived from a vinyl monomer having a primary amine salt component or an. amino styrene salt component, (b) 0-50wt% derived from a hydrophilic vinyl monomer and (c) 20-98wt% repeat unit derived from a hydrophobic non-ionic vinyl monomer.
