Sand moulds are produced by mixing together sand material and an alkaline binder and heating to above room temperature and below 100 deg. C such that after the hardening process the mass remains above room temperature. Rapid dehydration of the binder is carried out by the effect of the heat together with evacuation of the water vapour produced. |
