The lock consists of a casing containing a bolt (25) which is moved horizontally by an actuator between deployed and retracted positions. A locking member (82) moves at right angles to the bolt and engaging with teeth (90) on the edge of the bolt shank. The lock is equipped with a security cover (70) which goes over the bolt shank and part of the locking member, while springs (87,88) inside the cover push the locking member towards its locked position. The bolt shank and the locking member both have elongated apertures (91,83) which are set at right angles to one another and linked by a guide bush (81) held by the security cover. The cover is in the form of two vertical plates (74,75) linked by cross-pieces (71,73,79) at top and bottom. |
