FIELD: quantum electronics. SUBSTANCE: method involves supply of gaseous singlet molecular oxygen to active region and addition of iodine-containing gaseous flow to oxygen; singlet oxygen flow is fed to mixing region through supersonic nozzles iodine-containing gaseous flow in the form of molecular iodine vapors is supplied to mixing region also through supersonic nozzles, and iodine vapor is condensed into finely dispersed particles, whereupon, after these flows have mixed up into single homogeneous flow, the latter is dragged to ensure evaporation of iodine aerosol and to produce active medium containing gaseous singlet molecular oxygen and gaseous iodine.
