PURPOSE: To provide the silver halide color photographic sensitive material which is excellent in rapid-processability and sharpness and shows stable photographic performance even after preserving the material over a long period. CONSTITUTION: This sensitive material has on a reflection substrate, a photographic structural layer consisting of at least three silver halide emulsion layers, each of which contains any one of three couplers that form yellow, magenta and cyan color respectively and has different photosensitivity from the others, and at least one non-photosensitive layer. In the sensitive material, a water- resistant resin covering layer formed on the photosensitive layer-coated side of the reflection substrate contains a white pigment in a >=2g/m<2> coating weight and further, at least one layer in the photographic structural layer contains at least one compound represented by the formula. In the formula: each of R<1> and R<3> is an electron attractive group having a Hammett substituent constantσp of>=0.3; each of R<2> and R<4> is an alkyl or aryl group; each of L<1> to L<5> is a methine group wherein at least one of L<1> to L<5> has a substituent; and M<1> is a hydrogen atom, or an atomic group or metal atom from which a monovalent cation can be formed.
