PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive detection device of particle concentration in liquid in a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A detection device 1 of particle concentration in liquid is provided with a light source 11, a lighting guiding body 15 for guiding inspection light 31 to liquid-contacting surfaces 151-153 with a liquid 81 to be inspected, a photo sensor 12, a judging part 40 of particle concentration, and a housing 51. The housing 51 and the light guiding body 15 are formed in one piece or welded or bonded by a material with similar thermal characteristics. A light source for emitting scattered light should be used as the light source 11 and light entering the light guiding body 15 and that entering the photo sensor 12 by light guiding paths 191 and 192 is preferably stopped down.
