The container has a closable pouring opening in the normal position at the top. One of the broad side walls is provided with a funnel-shaped indentation, at the deepest point of which there is a closable filling opening, to permit the use of the container e.g. for draining engine oil. The deepest point of the indentation is preferably a short distance from the top. The closure member for the side opening may be connected with that of the pouring opening by a flexible element.
