One or more of rolls have a channelled periphery and the rolls are inwardly resilient biased and adjustable radially in concert to change the sizing aperture defined by the rolls the aperture may be segmental or circular. To avoid the need for lubrication the rolls may be made of low friction plastics. The rolls may be driven or freely rotatable in which case a drawing device is used to pull the cable through the sizing device. The cable is made by the method of Specification 1,350,604.
