<p>1402859 Suspended ceilings J M WALTON 25 Sept 1972 [29 Sept 1971 (2)] 45340/71 and 45456/71 Heading E1W [Also in Division H2] A conduit for cables comprises a base 2 and side walls 3 extending from the base with their free ends in close proximity at 4, the conduit having a series of openings 5 or means, e.g. perforated areas, whereby a series of openings can be formed along its length. As described in Specification 1206101 cables can be laid in the conduit by a tool which moves along the junction 4 which is opened resiliently by the tool; openings 5 provide branch off points for the cables. The conduit may be of metal, natural or artificial rubber or plastics. The conduit may be of any crosssection and may have an internal strengthening wall 32. It may have one or more shoulders 30 to support ceiling tiles, in which case the conduits are arranged in a horizontal plane; alternatively wall or partition members may be supported in which case the conduits are arranged in a vertical plane.</p> |
