PURPOSE: To provide an excellent convenient image forming device constituted so that set paper size need not be confirmed and reset every time that a paper is loaded by a user. CONSTITUTION: According to a printing request, a high-voltage control part 12 and a scanner motor are driven by a printer control part 10 and the paper is supplied by a multiple paper supply unit 0. By an image processing part 11, the masking of the left end and the right end of the inputted image is executed based on a digital signal obtained by converting an output voltage which is obtained by differentially amplifying the output voltages of variable resistors 6 and 7 connected to guide regulation plates 4a and 4b by using a differential amplifier 8 and which corresponds to the width of the paper by an A/D converter 9 by controlling a laser beam to be turned off. Besides, the masking of a trailing edge is read out based on the paper size selected from width-size information and paper-size information previously written in a ROM by the control part 10. By the processing part 11, the masking of the trailing edge is executed by controlling a developing and transfer bias. |
