<p>Dewatering press for materials, such as cellulose or other fibrous material has the strip of material to be dewatered supported on a sieve or between two sieves and passed between horizontally supported pairs of rolls, at least a section of the rolls situated on one side of the sieve or sieves in the pre-pressing part of the press being supported on a beam adjustable in common in alignment with the sieve. The beam is pivotably mounted on a pivot journal pressed towards the sieve, and displaced from the centre of gravity of the roll shaft bearings in the direction of motion of the sieve.</p> |
