PURPOSE: To provide a gas insulated switchgear for receiving two routine and spare circuits, which can reduce the area of installation. CONSTITUTION: A transformer GPT for a gas insulated instrument is arranged at the lower part of the central part of a space between two transformer connecting units U21 and U22. A relay container 14 is connected to the upper part of a tank 10 of the instrument transformer GPT. Bus partitioning disconnectors DS31 and DS32 are contained in disconnector containers 22 and 23, which are connected respectively to branch-pipe parts 14b1 and 14b2 provided at the facing positions of the relay container 14. The primary terminal of the instrument transformer GPT and the circuit between the bus partitioning disconnectors DS31 and DS32 are connected through a disconnector DS5 arranged in the relay container 14.
