PURPOSE: To manufacture a tandem magnetic pole rotor which has high strength and stable quality and can withstand ultrahigh-speed revolution. CONSTITUTION: Using columnar nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel, as magnetic material 2 of alloy steel containing nickel, and a disclike superalloy containing 25% nickel, as nonmagnetic material 3 of nickel alloy, these junction faces are processed into such forms that they are combined with each other, and then the junction faces are polished into mirror faces. A nickel-plated layer 13 about 100μm thick is made at least on one junction face. Next, the magnetic materials 2 and 2 and the nonmagnetic material 3 are combined with one another, and HIP(hot isotropic processing) is performed, whereby mutual diffusion is caused at the junction interface between the magnetic material 2 and the nonmagnetic material 3 to performed solid-phase junction.
