PURPOSE: To prevent a failure in the cleaning of a fixing device by changing drive stop timing in accordance with the temp. of the fixing device while executing image forming processing. CONSTITUTION: When a signal of detecting the completion of a series of copying process is inputted to a fix control part 480 from the CPU 100 of an image forming device main body, a temperature discriminating circuit 480A discriminates whether the temp. TR of a heating roller 481 detected by a temperature detector 484 is lower than a prescribed fixing temp. TC or not. When the temp. TR ≈ the temp. TC is obtained, the driving of a fix motor M is stopped and when the temp. TR < the temp. TC is obtained, the driving of the motor M is continued until the temp. TR is raised to the temp. TC. When the temp. TR. TR < the temp TC is obtained, the driving of the motor M is continued, so that a cleaning time for the heating roller 481 and a pressure roller 482 is extended to prevent the failure in the cleaning of the fixing device. |
