<p>PURPOSE: To respond to a communication request from another information processor connected to a network without supplying the power of a personal computer at all times. CONSTITUTION: When a line connection request from the other information processor through a telephone line and an ISDN line, etc., is received in a communication IC 2, a CPU 8 returns a response message stored in a flash memory 5 and stores received data in the flash memory 5. The stored data can be arbitrarily read from the personal computer through a personal computer I/F 6. Also, at the time of connecting a line with the other information processor, when the need of activating the personal computer such as storage capacity insufficiency and an access request to the personal computer, etc., is generated, the power of the personal computer is forcedly supplied.
